Our Covid Arrangements

Welcome Back Guide to the Broadbent Theatre!

We have missed you and whilst we have been away for a long while, we haven’t forgotten about you all and are ready and raring to go to welcome you back once again.
However, despite restrictions easing and uptake of vaccinations exceeding many predictions, COVID-19 has not gone away and so we need to make sure when you come and join us you do so safely.
To that end, you may notice a few changes which we would kindly ask you to respect.

Before your visit
Covid-19 Status
Although there will be no formal COVID certification system in place in relation to your particular performance, for the comfort and reassurance of all our guests we kindly request that all audience members over the age of 11 years take a COVID lateral flow test within 48 hours of their visit to the theatre.
We will not be asking you to provide proof of the test result or of your vaccination status via the NHS App however please continue to follow all government guidance
Check you have no Covid Symptoms
Please check you have no Covid-19 symptoms even if your lateral flow test result is negative and do not attend the theatre if you do have symptoms.

Pack your face covering
Whilst we can’t legally enforce the wearing of face coverings, we will ask our audiences to wear a face covering throughout their visit, except when eating and drinking or if they are medically exempt.

Arrive in plenty of time
We are opening the theatre 30 minutes before the show starts. Please arrive in plenty of time as box office and seating may take slightly longer to try and maintain social distancing.

Check in
Please use the QR codes to check in if you are able but if not don’t worry as we will have a record of your attendance at the Box Office should Test and Trace need it. For Test and Trace purposes we will only hold your information for 21 days and provide this information to NHS Test and Trace, if requested

During your visit
Be aware of those around you
During your visit please be aware of those around you, especially in busier areas and when queuing. Always try and maintain social distancing.

Hand hygiene
During your visit please use the hand sanitiser provided and wash your hands regularly.

Theatre ventilation
As our theatre is not equipped with a mechanical ventilation system we will have the doors open throughout the theatre prior to the performance starting, during the interval and from the end of the show. We know it may be a bit chilly but we do have new heating in the theatre which will hopefully help.

Bar and Box Office,
Please be aware that we have screens up at our bar and box office for added protection. You may be asked to pay using contactless payment where we have that facility.

When you are leaving
Please be aware of those around you and maintain your distance when leaving. Please be careful when returning to the car park as the road is not lit, we will try to have members of LRP on hand to assist with torches if we can.
