PLEASE NOTE: This production is being staged outdoors at Holton Hall, Holton-Cum-Beckering and NOT at the Broadbent Theatre.
Following their successful outdoor performances of Paradise Lost in 2022, we are pleased to have A Certain Demographic back and perfoming outdoors again at Holton Hall.
The Mystery Plays, adapted by Ian Sharp and performed by A Certain Demongraphic promises to be an absorbing peformance in a location very dear to our hearts here at the Broadbent Theatre.

Who is my brother? – a modern Mystery Play, written by Ian Sharp and performed by ‘A Certain Demographic’
Who is my brother? is a contemporary performance piece based on the medieval Mystery Plays which dramatised Bible stories for ordinary people. There are some rattling good stories in the Old Testament, and we bring them to life on stage in 7 short, fast-moving playlets written in 21st century language. There is plenty of humour and action, but the themes of the stories are also relevant and thought-provoking.
The company, A Certain Demographic, is well known to Broadbent audiences having brought Conchies and Paradise Lost to the theatre in the last few years. This play is intended to be performed in outdoor spaces and Holton Hall will provide the perfect backdrop for both performers and spectators.
