“RINKLY ROCKERS” Auditions

Tuesday 6th June 2023 @ 7pm

LRP are staging “Rinkly Rockers” a new play by Elaine Howell on 10th, 11th, 17th and 18th November 2023.
The play will be directed by Jimbob Hewson and Vidge Stacey.

Rinkly Rockers is not only a funny, retrospective look at the career of the legendary, aging, band Trib-u-la-tions fronted by Barry and Eric, it also sees them on the cusp of a new a chapter in their lives. Who knows this might be the break the boys are looking for.

Jimbob and Vidge are looking for actors for the following roles:

Male 50+ : This will be an ensemble role playing around 3 small, but very different parts
Female 45+ : small ensemble roles
Female 60+ : small ensemble roles

There will also be an opportunity to take part in promotional/mock documentary videos.

Interested in joining Barry and Eric as they take a look back at their life as rock and rollers? Auditions will take place on Tuesday 6th June at 7pm, to be held at The Broadbent Theatre, Snarford Road, Wickenby Lincolnshire LN3 5AW.
If you are interested in auditioning or would like a chat with one of the directors please let us know by email at enquiries.broadbent@gmail.com.

Please note that if you are successful you will need to be (or prepared to become) an LRP member.

Co-op Community Champions funding

We are happy to announce that our bid for funding for our wonderful Youth Theatre from the Co-op Community Champions scheme has been successful.

This means that Co-op will be raising money for us from 4th June to 2nd September 2023 in the Market Rasen Co-op.

Please use your dividend cards during the fundraising period as this will boost our total and benefit us directly.

Thank you.

Voting has now ended

The Broadbent was in the running for TicketSource’s Community Event Fund. Many thanks to all our wonderful supporters, we managed 397 votes.

Sadly this only got us to 17th position, so not in the top ten, but it is a great achievement out of the 340 entrants. So close!

There are some very worthy entries, we look forward to seeing who the eventual winner will be, and very well done to all who took part.
