LRP Committee

– be a part of it!

An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to become part of the Committee team running the Broadbent Theatre and theatrical productions for the benefit of the local community.

Calling all volunteers at The Broadbent

Having recently undertaken an extensive review of the current committee members roles and responsibilities, we now have a clear idea of the succession planning we would like to do and of where our current gaps are. We have already received some expressions of interest in these roles, but we are keen to see if there are any further people who are interested in joining us at this time.

Please read below to see if any of these roles are a good fit for you:

Secretary

The Secretary role is a key officer of the LRP Charity responsible for managing correspondence, organising meetings and minutes and LRP policy documents. This role requires that you join the Committee for a few months before taking on the role which will give you plenty of time to learn the ropes from the current Secretary. This role requires that you have volunteered on several occasions for the LRP over the last year.

Treasurer

The Treasurer is a key officer of the LRP Charity responsible for guidance on financial matters, paying expenses and preparing an annual budget. This role requires that you join the Committee for a few months before taking on the role which will give you plenty of time to learn the ropes from the current Treasurer. This role requires that you have volunteered on several occasions for the LRP over the last year.

Building Manager

The Building Manager is responsible for the maintenance and development of the theatre building, car park and its services. Working closely with the Health and Safety Advisor, this person will ensure important checks are carried out and recorded. This role requires that you have volunteered on several occasions for the LRP over the last year.

Youth Theatre Manager

The Youth Theatre Manager is responsible for oversight of the Youth Theatre and liaison between the Youth Theatre and the Committee. This person would need to make a commitment to attend Youth Theatre on a regular basis and to undertake an enhanced DBS check with Barring Disclosure but would not, necessarily have to run the sessions. This role requires that you have volunteered on several occasions for the LRP over the last year.
