Covid-19 Advice

We want to make sure we keep you as safe as we can when you visit us. In return we would ask that you respect this revised guidance when attending the Broadbent for productions.

We are now following the Governments guidance on living safely with respiratory infections, including COVID-19. The latest version of which can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/living-safely-with-respiratory-infections-including-covid-19

Consider wearing a face covering
Wearing a face covering or face mask can reduce the number of particles containing viruses that are released from the mouth and nose of someone who is infected with COVID-19 and other respiratory infections. Face coverings can also protect the person wearing the face covering from becoming infected by some viruses.

We would ask you to consider wearing a face covering in the theatre if you are in close contact with other people not from your household. The theatre can get crowded and in such an enclosed space we feel that the use of face coverings is still a sensible precaution for you to consider.

What to do if you have symptoms of a respiratory infection including COVID-19
If you have symptoms of a respiratory infection, such as COVID-19, and you have a high temperature or do not feel well enough we would urge you to stay at home and avoid contact with other people by coming to the theatre.

If you test positive for COVID-19 we would ask you to not attend the Broadbent. You should follow the latest Government guidance on how long to avoid contact for (which can be found at the link above).

Good Hygiene
During your visit please use the hand sanitiser provided and wash your hands regularly.

It is also important to try to cover your mouth and nose when coughing and/or sneezing.

Theatre ventilation
We will continue to have the doors open throughout the theatre prior to the performance starting, during the interval and from the end of the show. We know it may be a bit chilly but we do have new heating in the theatre which will hopefully help.
